Prof. Dr. Philippe Gugler

Philippe Gugler is Director of the Center for Competitiveness of the University of Fribourg. He holds the Chair of Economic and Social Policy. He is the President of the Department of Economics at the Faculty of economics and
social sciences of the University of Fribourg. He is former Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland). He was awarded the Hall of Fame of the Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness of the Harvard Business School by Professor Michael Porter in 2010. Since January 2014, he is Editor in Chief of the Scientific Journal « Competitiveness Review » published by Emerald in United Kingdom. He is also member of the board of several competitiveness institutes and Business Schools in Switzerland and abroad (Thailand, Italy, Netherlands, Dubai).
